Some of horse riding’s biggest stars have confirmed they will take part in this year’s Adelaide Equity Partners Australian International 3-Day Event from November 14 to 16
Walk with Olympians at the Australian International 3-Day Event: November 14-16
The public can meet Olympic medallists and some of the equestrian world’s biggest stars at the Adelaide Equity Partners Australian International 3-Day Event – all for the cost of a gold coin donation.
Big names like Olympic gold medallist Wendy Schaeffer will conduct course walks along with members of the silver medal eventing team from the Beijing Olympics, Shane Rose and local rider Megan Jones.
Other members of the Beijing Olympic medal winning team who are not competing but will also conduct course walks include Clayton Fredricks, based in the United Kingdom, and Sonja Johnson from Western Australia.
“This is a special chance to meet the stars of the equestrian world, see an Olympic level track from a rider’s perspective and talk about things like what motivates them and how it feels to win an Olympic Games medal,” Event Director Gillian Rolton, herself a dual gold medal winning Olympian, says.
“And not only will event goers have the chance to see dressage, cross jumping and showjumping over three action-packed days, they can also enjoy a full program of fun events including a Dancing with the Stars Ladies Luncheon and the Grape and Gourmet Gallop featuring the best of South Australia’s food and wine.
“There’s even a chance for school children, pony club members and fitness fanatics of all ages to run the cross country course in the Mutual Community Fun Run, meeting horse riding and other sporting legends along the way.“
While most of the action will centre around a ticketed area in Rymill Park, where the course walks will be held, the cross country course will start at Victoria Park Racecourse and wind its way through the parklands, with free spectacular vantage points for spectators along the way.
Tickets range from $20 for an adult one-day pass to $55 for an adult three-day pass. Grandstand tickets start at $45 for adults. For details visit www.australian3de.com.au or www.venuetix.com.au.

Course walks are available about 5pm on Friday and 8am on Saturday.
